Pastor Brady Hacker began his ministry at the age of 18, working under his father, Bishop David Hacker, as the minister of music at the Southside Church of God. At the age of 23, he met his wife, Vanessa, at the Texas Church of God campmeeting. They were married in 1997 and continued to work together volunteering in ministry at Southside. Pastor Brady continued leading worship, Vanessa worked as the Childrenís Pastor, and they began helping with the youth ministry. While working in the different areas of ministry at Southside, God began tugging on their hearts to step out into full time ministry. Pastor Brady sent out some resumes to test the waters and see what God would do. God opened the door for the Hackerís to try out for the position of full time Youth Pastor at Lakeside Church of God in Ft. Worth, TX. After prayerful consideration of the Lakeside church council, Pastor Brady Hacker was offered the position of Youth Pastor, so in 2000, the Hackerís left the Southside Church family and began their journey of full time ministry. They served as Youth Pastors at Lakeside for 7 Ĺ years where they saw God do amazing things. God once again began to stir in their hearts to redirect their ministry. Pastor Brady felt God calling him and his family into the role of Lead Pastoral ministry, so after praying for direction, God took the Hackerís to the Lannius Church of God in Dodd City, TX to be Lead Pastors. During their 3 Ĺ year pastorate at Lannius, God moved and the church experienced growth and new ministries were started as the church body worked together to advance the Kingdom of God. Pastor Brady & family then moved to Victoria, TX in 2011 to pastor the Northgate Church of God. God impressed Pastor Brady to raise funds to remodel the foyer and sanctuary of the Northgate Church. God was faithful and the Hackerís led the church in not only remodeling the foyer and sanctuary, but the entire church facility was renovated in 2012. God provided the necessary funds and the entire project was completed debt free. The Hackerís served the Northgate congregation for 3 years. Pastor Bradyís father became ill in 2013 and Bishop David Hacker asked Brady to prayerfully consider coming to Pastor the San Antonio Southside Church of God, in the event that he could not continue as Pastor. Pastor Brady initially told his father no, he did not feel he could come back home and pastor but he would pray about it. As his fatherís illness progressed, Pastor Brady began to pray more and more about what he should do. Bishop David Hacker was called home, February 23, 2014. As Pastor Brady was speaking at his fatherís homegoing celebration, the Holy Spirit moved upon His heart and gave him the confirmation he was waiting for. The Southside council and congregation voted unanimously for the Hackerís to come and carry on the legacy of Bishop David Hacker and lead the church forward in the days ahead. Pastor Brady & Vanessa and family moved to San Antonio in March 2014 to accept the Pastorate of the Southside Church of God. God brought them home to Southside. Although the move has been an emotional one for the Hackerís, God is showing once again that He is faithful and all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord. God is moving and the church is seeing tremendous growth. We believe the seeds that were planted by Bishop David & Denise Hacker have been watered and nurtured and God is bringing forth the fruit of their labor. May God continue to bless the Hackerís and the members of the Southside congregation as they lead us on this great adventure God is taking us on!
Pastor Brady has served on the Texas State Youth Board, The Texas State Evangelism board, and currently serves on the Texas State Council. He has also been on various committees and boards and serves as the stage coordinator for state events.
